Introduction
Earlier this week, I shared my plans for work to be done for the week. Was going to add new blog posts to my website and after that edit my book. But things were not going according to plan.
Yesterday afternoon, my mom told me that she was having pain in her gums, and she thought her teeth might be broken. So, today I had to change my plans and accompany her to the dentist. My mom’s health is more important than anything else.
So, later this morning, we will go to the dentist. It may take the rest of the morning. I will update my websites in the afternoon. And will continue editing my book tomorrow.

What Business Lesson Did I Learn?
The business lesson I learned from this experience is that it is important to have a plan, but it is also important to be flexible and adaptable. Things don’t always go according to plan, so it is important to be able to roll with the punches and still achieve your goals.
I’ve also learned to never let unexpected events cause us to freeze and not do a thing. It is important to stay focused on the goals. To achieve them despite the interruptions.
I’m glad that I was able to be there for my mom when she needed me. And I’m also glad that I was able to adapt when my plans changed. It’s important to be flexible and adaptable, because things don’t always go according to plan.
Here are a few tips for adapting when your plans change:
- Be flexible. Don’t be afraid to change your plans when necessary.
- Be positive. Don’t let unexpected changes get you down. See it as something that has to happen. Make changes and learn from it.
- Be creative. Find new ways to achieve your goals, even if your plans have changed.
- Be patient. It may take some time to adjust to the new plan.
