This is because I find many of his quotes very encouraging and helpful. They truly inspire me, and motivate me to take action.

Most People Think of Building a Business First
That’s how it is, isn’t it? Or, at least most of the time.
Someone is enthusiastic to start a business. And dives into all the parts that are mechanical. Like registering a business, coming up with a brand name, creating a logo, etc.
It is rare when a new entrepreneur thinks of the people for the business first.
Of course, the thought of the different roles and responsibilities of employees do come to mind. But, who are these people? What are their values? Are they aligned with the business? And, so many more things to consider when it comes to the people for the business.
I Made The Same Mistake Before, Too
When I started my first digital marketing agency, I made that same mistake.
I was too eager and engrossed in building the business first. To get the processes and systems in place. To get people to fill the jobs so that the work can get done.
And I overlooked building the people.
In fact, when I realized that mistake, it was hard to correct it. I did try, but by then most processes and systems were already in place. People were used to the work needed to be done.
And nobody was interested in building themselves, even when I am all for it.
I have since learned my lesson. And I thank Zig Ziglar for his wisdom.
Today, should I ever plan to start another business, I will look at the people first. Because the people is one of the most important element of a business.
When we build the people, nurture and grow them, our business will grow and flourish too.
