Essentially, ClickBank is an affiliate network. This means that it is home to thousands of products and services. All of which you can be an affiliate with.

As an affiliate marketer, I would look for products and services to sell. I would search on Google to find businesses that match my niche. Then I check if they have affiliate programs.

When I find a match and with affiliate program, I would write to them, and ask to be their affiliate. There is the whole process of proving I will be a good match for their business.

Many businesses would like to see that I have a good history of success with sales. I also promote via a website. As such, they would like to see that my website has high traffic. Upon approval, I get to promote their product or service. And get commissions when I make a sale.

It is very time consuming. And that is just for one product or service. Can you imagine me doing that for hundreds or even thousands of brands?

As an affiliate network with thousands of products and services, ClickBank offers easier search and application processes. The ClickBank Marketplace is quite intuitive to help you find a product and service that matches your niche. And the approval process is also quite simple.

I have often been asked this question. And here is how I explain what is affiliate marketing.

In the old days (and even today), before Internet existed, sales people would promote a product or service. They would do it from an office, at a showroom or travel about to meet people and promote it.

When they make a sale, the business that owns the product or service would pay them a percentage of the sale. This is the ‘cut’ or commission earned.

Online affiliate marketing works the same way. An affiliate promotes a business’ product or service on the Internet. They are given an affiliate link by the business that they can add to an article on a website or blog post, or promote on emails or online advertisements such as paid search ads or social media ads.

Similarly, when they make a sale, they get a commission from that business for the product or service that they promoted. This is a summary of what affiliate marketing is all about.

If you are asked to pay to join, double check the website address or url. Chances are you may not be on the real ClickBank website.

It is very easy to join ClickBank. Simply open a ClickBank account by going to their website, and click on Create Account. Fill in the required fields on the create account form.

Before you join ClickBank, I highly recommend that you find and decide on what niche you would be in. It is not an easy choice.

When I first heard about this step before doing online business, it took me a long time to figure it out. This is because it is an important decision. The niche you choose will decide the level of success you will have.

After you have decided on the niche your business will be in, you need to find a product or service on ClickBank.

Tip: Find products that are converting very well on ClickBank. These have GRAVIT of more than 20.

At the same time, do note that when the GRAVIT code is high, the competition is also high. Another point to note is that sometimes a low GRAVIT rating may not mean that there are no high conversions. It could be that it is a new product, or it is in a niche that does not have high competition.

After you find the product or service, and you are an affiliate with the vendor, you get an affiliate link. Use this link to promote the product or service. When people click on the link and make a purchase, you get a commission.

Next, you will need to promote the product or service. There are many ways to do this.

You can have a website or blog and write about the product or service. This can be a review or just your thoughts about it. In that post or article, share the affiliate link. Encourage people to click on it and buy the product or service.

You can also do banner ads to promote the product or service. Add the affiliate link to the banner ad. When people click on it, they buy the product or service, you earn a commission.

Social media is a good place to promote, too. You can do it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, or YouTube. But just a word of caution: some social networks do not approve of affiliate links. So, do learn how to do it right so that you do not get your social media account suspended.
