Just like ClixSense, ySense is now also an online rewards website. Some people refer to such sites as Get Paid To (GPT) sites. It simply means that you can earn extra money by doing some simple tasks.

These tasks include doing online surveys, completing online tasks, or taking up offers. Online tasks could be tasks like data entry or online research. Offers could be playing games or downloading apps.

I started this review on an online rewards website known as ClixSense. After some time digging around, I found out that it is now known as ySense.

When Prodege bought ClixSense, they changed its name to ySense. ySense is part of the Prodege, LLC business. The business is based in California, USA.

Prodege is a market research company. They partner with many businesses to do market research for them. One of the ways is to reach out to consumers and find out what they like or think about a business’ brand or product.

Joining ySense is totally free.

To qualify for ySense, you must be at least 13 years old in the United States.

For other countries, it is best to check what are the age restrictions where you are at. This is because age restrictions may vary by country.

You simply go to the ySense site. On the home page, you will see a sign up form.

Fill in the details required on the sign up form. You only need to give your email address, and create a password. Click the agreement box.

And then click Join Now.

You will receive a verification email immediately. Click the ‘Confirm email address’ button. And you are all set.

Next, it is best that you complete your ySense profile. This would help ySense to know what surveys and tasks to send to you.

Log in to your ySense account. Then hover over your profile avatar. You will see a menu drop down. Click on the Profile and Settings button.

Fill in the required information. It is quite basic actually. For a start, they only require your First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State, ZIP/Postal Code and Country where you are at.

As you are given surveys and tasks, they will require more information to see if you qualify for each of them.

This is very important. You want to get paid for all the work you have done, right?

So, on the same profile section, remember to go to the Payment tab. On this tab, choose your preferred payment method. As of now, ySense can pay you via Payza, Payoneer or Tango card. For people in the United States or Canada, you can choose to receive your payment by cheques.

ySense offers you a few ways to make money. Let us discuss them here.

Online surveys are a popular way to make money online. This is most probably the reason why you join ySense in the first place.

I have got good news for you. ySense partners with a wide variety of businesses. And there is a ton of surveys available.

You start by going to the survey section of the ySense website. There is an option to Unlock Surveys.

Click on that button, and you will be led to a series of screens asking you some personal questions. This is for the system to learn more about you. Most important, it is to find surveys that match you.

After you complete this step, you will be able to receive surveys. Take part in the surveys. Remember that at the end of every survey, you should receive a notification that you have completed it successfully.

The Offers section is where you can get paid by completing offers such as completing surveys, downloading apps, playing games, sign up for trials, and many more.

When you place your mouse over the Offers option, you will see a drop down menu of many brands. Each of these brands has a lot of offers for you.

For example, when I clicked on ySense Offers, I see a long list of offers from them.

Each offer pays different amounts. The tip here is to look for offers that pay high amounts of cash. The reason is that you will most probably end up doing the same amount of work or even the same task. So, you might as well earn as high as possible for that same type of work.

Watch out for paid offers where you sign up for trial offers. Read the terms and conditions carefully. Some of these offers may have penalties for ending the trial early or may charge you some fee later. The result is that you may spend more money than you make.

Doing tasks with Appen is one of the ways to earn more at ySense. There are many types of tasks from many businesses. It can be data entry, online research, doing surveys, categorizing online images or videos, or many other simple jobs.

Appen used to be known as Figure Eight and Crowdflower. Today, as Appen, it is a crowdsourcing service. Jobs are available on Appen to give you the oportunity to earn some extra cash.

1. On the Tasks tab, click on the Welcome to Appen link
2. You will be brought to the Appen site
3. Sign up and create an Appen account

That is it. You have opened an Appen account, and linked it to your ySense account.

When you first start, you may not see many tasks or even none. As soon as you see a task, and it is something you can do, then do it. Appen’s algorithm will learn how good you are at doing tasks.

As you do more, you will achieve high levels. And soon, you will have plenty of tasks to choose from and do. And you can earn more.

It all depends on how much time, work and effort you put in. Do be aware that this is not a get rich quick scheme.

You can get support at ySense when you click on the Help or FAQ option. These options are at the footer area of the website.

When you click on either of the options, you will see a ‘Submit a request’ button at the top right corner of the screen. Click on that and fill in the required fields.

Then submit it to the support team. They will get back to you within a few hours with a solution.

There is also a forum where you can discuss anything about ySense. Here, you can raise your questions, and get answers, too.

When you use this addon, you can be notified of new surveys and Appen tasks as soon as they become available. So, you can earn faster.

So far, from what I read on the Internet, ySense is a good paymaster. This means that they do pay you when you earn. And the money is transferred in a reasonable amount of time.

One of the problems you may face is that you may start off with fewer surveys and tasks to do. This is only because you are a beginner at this site. Unfortunately, this is one of the main reasons many people leave.

Give it some time. Start by doing as many surveys and tasks they give you. Allow the ySense algorithm to learn more about you. As time passes, as you progress further, you will find there will be more and more jobs for you to do.

Another unfortunate matter is that there are many countries that are not on their ‘top tier countries’ list. As such, you will find you have less surveys and tasks to do.

To see which are the ‘top tier countries’, go to their website and click on FAQ. Then do a search with the keyword – tier.

The business is a legit business. And the surveys, tasks and offers are legit, too. You can make money from this site. But not a lot.

How much you make depends on you. This is a way to make money by exchanging time and effort for dollars. So, the more time you spend and the more effort you make, you will earn more.

Of course, the alternative is to be a ySense affiliate. This can be another added way of making more money from this site. You earn by promoting ySense to people.

For me, I prefer affiliate marketing, and I recommend doing this type of business. I have tried the rest – private label, dropshpping, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), etc – and found that they take up a lot of time, effort and money. Just like doing surveys, taking up offers and completing tasks take up a lot of time and effort just to earn a bit of money..

With affiliate marketing, you create a website for the niche you have chosen. Then you add new and fresh content. You recommend products. When people buy the product, you earn a commission. No dealing with inventory, shipping or customer complaints.

Just like being an affiliate with ySense. You promote it. When people join, and start doing the surveys, offers and tasks, you earn a commission.
